  We had a group of 20 people for Christmas dinner. All food came out in good time and was all very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely come here again

  Popped in for a meal Monday evening as mum very ill in Stoke Mandeville. Staff could not have been more helpful in getting food out as quickly as they could (didn't want to leave mum for too long ). Service was superb. The food was then truly divine! Sea bream for me sea bass for my sister. Thank you everyone. Oh, and coffee was great too. Thanks. X

  Great atmosphere, the staff is really really friendly and would get the sixth star if I could give it. Place with a pleasantly surprising history. Good British pub food. Our steaks were perfectly cooked as ordered. Try the starter with the poached egg. It's gorgeous.

  My wife and myselfs all time favourite pub. Really friendly with an interesting mix of clients, and very welcoming staff. The food is always excellent and there are guest ales that change monthly. Dogs and muddy boots are a fixture!
